The Development of Intelligent Locks under Smart Security

With the rapid development of the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence in recent years, industries such as smart cities, smart water management, smart transportation, and smart homes have emerged one after another, and smart security is an important component of them. The country has successively introduced multiple relevant policies to promote the construction and development of smart security.

In August 2020, the "Guiding Opinions of the Ministry of Transport on Promoting the Construction of New Infrastructure in the Field of Transportation" mentioned "creating integrated and efficient smart transportation infrastructure", including smart highways, smart railways, smart ports, smart civil aviation, etc.

In the "Notice of the State Council on Issuing the Measurement Development Plan (2021-2035)" issued in January 2022, section four (12) "Serving the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Manufacturing" mentions the establishment of intelligent level evaluation standards and measurement testing platforms applicable to fields such as intelligent manufacturing, intelligent transportation, and intelligent security, to enhance the measurement testing capabilities driven by data and knowledge collaboration

In the "14th Five Year Plan" for National Urban Infrastructure Construction in July 2022, it is mentioned to "accelerate the construction of new urban infrastructure and promote the transformation and development of urban intelligence." "Encourage the construction of supporting facilities such as smart parking, smart express cabinets, smart charging piles, smart lamp posts, smart garbage bins, and smart security in communities to improve the level of intelligent services." There are also policies related to smart water management, smart power grids, and smart communities.

The security system includes three main parts: access control, monitoring, and alarm, among which the access control equipment cannot do without locks. With the development of smart security, it is an inevitable trend for smart locks to replace traditional mechanical locks. At present, the development prospects of intelligent locks in China are very broad, and many enterprises are involved in it. Combining advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence, they have developed various intelligent locks with different functions and suitable for different scenarios. I believe that through the country's emphasis on smart security construction and the continuous research and innovation of smart locks by lock companies, China's smart lock industry will take it to the next level.
