On February 8, 2023, the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued a notice on the "Safety Standards for Laboratories in Higher Education Institutions"(http://www.gov.cn/zhengce/zhengceku/2023-02/21/content_5742498.htm).

This document standardizes the full cycle management system of hazardous chemicals in universities, from procurement to transportation, storage, use, and final disposal (hazardous waste management), clarifying nodes and objects, and clarifying accident handling systems.

Among them, Article 25 of Chapter 7 on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories mentions the provisions on the "five double" management (i.e. double person acceptance, double person custody, double person shipment, double handle lock, and double book account) and the data retention period (i.e. registration of storage, collection, and distribution, with registered data kept for at least 1 year; for Class I precursor chemicals and pharmaceutical precursor chemicals, double person double lock management is implemented, and the account book retention period is not less than 2 years).

In response to the "five pairs" and data retention period, our company has launched a combination of passive dual channel intelligent padlock+4G intelligent key to assist laboratory personnel in managing hazardous chemicals.

The passive dual channel intelligent padlock is made of 316L stainless steel, which is corrosion resistant and anti-aging. There is no built-in power supply, and there is no risk of battery leakage or explosion. The lock cylinder is designed with a dedicated keyhole and features 360 ° idle technology to prevent technical unlocking.

The 4G smart key supports 4G communication transmission and base station positioning, without the need to connect to Bluetooth on mobile phones. Laboratory managers can directly log in to their accounts on the 4G smart key and perform unlocking operations, reducing intermediate operation steps. Compared with the previous requirement for management personnel to carry keys with them, the 4G smart key can now be placed in designated locations, reducing the risk of key loss. Due to its special key head design and the ability to set authorization levels, the key has no risk of being copied and the lock has no risk of being stolen. The log can be directly uploaded to the management platform through 4G signal (the log content includes: opening and closing lock time, applicant, authorizer, location, etc.), and the log can be permanently saved for easy viewing in the future.
